Norwood has been partnering with RWJBH-Community Medical Center on multiple projects. The Emergency Department Renovation includes a 55,000 square foot, multi-phase alteration to CMC’s active ED. To complete construction while ensuring patient care continued uninterrupted, Norwood delivered the project in 5 phases over the course of 2 ½ years. The new ED space features expanded treatment rooms, reconfigured care teamwork areas, a diagnostic imaging suite, a dedicated Behavioral Health Treatment/Observation area, specialty care areas, and updated waiting rooms.
The team also constructed a new rooftop Helistop with an elevator tower and completed a 4th floor renovation and Residency fit-out project to create classrooms, lounge, offices, and study space for new hospital residents. Additionally, the project team assisted with budgeting, scheduling, and planning of the master plan work through board approval.
