Norwood served as design-builder for a warehouse / distribution center renovation project on behalf of specialty arts and crafts retailer, Michaels. The project consisted of substantial sitework to add 650 trailer parking spaces, including the expansion of the existing storm water basin, expansion of the existing access road, and the construction of a new security building. Interior upgrades included MEP infrastructure for material handling systems, additional 5000amp electrical service, and common area upgrades. As work progressed, Michaels requested a significant amount of additional scope and the team delivered, successfully meeting all project goals.
Norwood also served as design-builder for the original construction of the 700,000 SF warehouse facility and a 60,000 SF, two-story corporate headquarters on behalf of A.C. Moore.
