Swarthmore, PA
Norwood completed the phased renovation of Robinson Hall, a historic residence thoughtfully converted into the College’s Black Cultural Center. This comprehensive project preserves the character of the existing structure while modernizing the facility to better serve the campus community.
The project included ADA upgrades, building waterproofing, targeted interior renovations, installation of a new elevator, and updated electrical and HVAC systems to improve performance and efficiency. A new accessible pathway connecting the street to the elevator entrance further enhances inclusivity and ease of access.
Working in close collaboration with Swarthmore College, the team developed and executed a detailed site logistics plan to maintain student and staff safety while minimizing disruption to daily campus life.
