Norwood is working with the WASD to advance a major athletics-focused construction initiative to modernize and consolidate its athletic facilities into a more cohesive, multi-use campus. At its core, the project involves a comprehensive redevelopment of the existing athletic complex.

Key components include a reconstructed stadium and synthetic turf field designed to support year-round use; a new 39,000 SF auxiliary/field house building featuring a full-size gymnasium, locker rooms, team spaces, training areas, concessions, offices, and storage; an education/athletics addition connecting the high school to the stadium, to improve student access; and new bleachers, event infrastructure, and stadium entry sequence, along with expanded parking and site circulation upgrades.

The project also incorporates academic and support spaces, such as technology classrooms within the field house, reflecting a broader goal of blending athletics, education, and student life into a single flexible complex
