Norwood has completed work on a new headquarters for NMS Labs and has commenced construction on two additional research & development facilities, both of which are for repeat clients.
Located in Horsham, PA, NMS Labs provides advanced clinical and forensic toxicology, endocrinology, and criminalistics laboratory services to clients throughout North America. Their new 100,000 square foot headquarters features 20,000 square feet of open plan lab space, 35,000 square feet of administrative office space and 5,000 square feet of shipping and processing space. An additional 20,000 square feet is devoted to amenities and support space, with the balance of the facility being reserved for future growth. Norwood completed the project using a Design/Build delivery method in collaboration with JacobsWyper Architects.
Norwood recently commenced work on a multi-phase renovation and modernization of Colorcon’s laboratory and warehouse facilities in West Point, PA. Colorcon provides a wide range of pharmaceutical film coatings and formulation development assistance to clients throughout the world. All work has been planned and phased to minimize impact on Colorcon’s ongoing R&D and production at the facility, which will remain fully operational during the renovations. Norwood previously completed the planning and construction of Colorcon’s global headquarters and lab facility in Harleysville, PA.
Norwood has also commenced work on a research & development facility for a global medical device company in the Reading, PA area. The new 60,000 square foot building was designed by L2P Architects and will feature R&D lab and testing space separated into 15 lab units, as well as office and support functions, such as a tool/machine shop that supports the company’s production facilities around the world. Like Colorcon, Norwood previously completed the company’s global headquarters.
