The Norwood Company recently completed 2 healthcare facilities which represent the changing nature of care delivery. Both facilities help providers cut cost by reducing inpatient hospital stays and improve outcomes, leading to greater patient satisfaction.
PowerBack, located in Exton, PA, is an 80,000 square foot, 120-bed transitional care rehabilitation center. Norwood partnered with the owner, Genesis Healthcare, and architect, RLPS, on the new facility which features a 4,500 square foot physical therapy gym with the latest PT equipment. Amenities include a movie theater, a game room, spa services, and restaurant-style dining. The Powerback model is designed to bring a full range of post-hospital rehabilitation in a fresh, modern setting.
Norwood also completed a 12,000 square foot freestanding outpatient surgery center in Mullica Hill, NJ, for American Surgical Arts. The facility, designed by PS&S Architecture, focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and features 2 operating rooms, pre-op and PACU bays, and an extended stay recovery area.
