Leading retailer of automotive parts, Advance Auto Parts, Inc., partnered with Norwood to construct two warehouse distribution centers. Norwood worked collaboratively with Advance Auto, the facility developer, and the design team from the conceptual design phase through completion. The first project, a 640,000 square foot facility located in Arcadia West Industrial Park in New Smithville, Pennsylvania, was completed using a fast-track design-build delivery method. With the client’s goals in mind, Norwood simplified and streamlined the second project in Remington, Indiana, delivering the 570,000 square foot in 8 months. Both facilities include state-of-the-art racking and conveyor systems, aerosol containment areas, and separate vehicle maintenance buildings with fuel dispensing systems.
