Serving as design-builder, Norwood delivered a 1.1 million square foot LEED Silver certified, food-grade manufacturing and warehouse distribution center for Church & Dwight, parent company of Arm & Hammer consumer products. One of the largest of its kind in Pennsylvania, the facility utilizes a sophisticated racking and conveyor system to optimize distribution. Norwood implemented an energy model representing 32 percent savings using high efficiency boilers and a geothermal HVAC system with 20 wells. The team also integrated a gray water system to reduce water consumption, utilized recycled and regional materials, and the diverted nearly 300 tons of construction waste from landfills.
The project received an Excellence in Construction Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors, Eastern PA Chapter.
