Cherry Hill, NJ
Acting as design-builder, Norwood completed a 55,000 square foot ambulatory care center on behalf of Lourdes Health System through a third party developer. The project entailed the comprehensive conversion of a strategically-located former grocery store into a state-of-the-art medical facility. Intense collaboration between the hospital, its user groups, the facility developer, and the design team was coordinated through Norwood ‐ a process which led to increased efficiencies and ultimately a highly successful project for all parties.
The facility houses physician practices such as cardiology, endocrinology, podiatry, rheumatology, sports medicine, and multiple surgery specialists. It also offers cardiac rehabilitation, lab services, physical therapy, radiology, and holistic services.
The facility has been truly transformational for the community as it turned a highly visible but blighted property into a vibrant and useful amenity. For the healthcare system, it has brought convenient and accessible care to what had been a secondary geographic market, significantly increasing market share.
