Norwood served as design-builder for a 1.7 million square foot northeastern US distribution center for Procter & Gamble’s paper division. Norwood’s team was responsible for all engineering, architecture, permitting, and construction of the project. The facility’s remote location necessitated the movement of 2.3 million cubic yards of earth and the introduction of all utilities. Overcoming multiple challenges, Norwood was able to complete the project in less than 11 months from groundbreaking, with Procter & Gamble occupying the building in 6 phases. The facility was still considered the largest single-story structure in Pennsylvania.
Upon completion, Norwood was engaged on 2 expansion projects comprised of 85,000 square feet and 32,000 square feet, for a neighboring Procter & Gamble manufacturing plant. Norwood handled all development approvals, and permitting, completing both projects ahead of schedule.
